Specialist installer qualifications

Installation may only be carried out by specialists who have the necessary knowledge and experience in ventilation technology.

Electrical connection, commissioning, maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by qualified electricians in accordance with DGUV regulation 3, Section 2 (3) and in compliance with the relevant standards (e.g. DIN EN 50110-1) and technical rules.

Further provisions of other national laws must be taken into account.

Qualifications and requirements needed for installation work: Specialist training and knowledge of compulsory technical standards, EU Directives and EU Ordinances. The installations must be carried out professionally. Applicable building regulations, accident prevention regulations, occupational health and safety measures (protective clothing in good repair etc.) must be complied with. Installation work by trainees is only permitted under the supervision of the above-mentioned trained specialists.

The persons must be instructed in health and safety requirements for their area. A school-leaving certificate with good national language skills is required.
