Decommissioning, dismantling

Decommissioning may only be undertaken by qualified personnel (ventilation specialists, qualified electricians) and under observation of the enclosed safety instructions.

• Risk of cuts from metal housing plates with sharp edges. Use personal protective equipment (cut-resistant gloves) for installation work.

• Use the inspection switch to switch the fan Off/Aus and fit a padlock to make sure it isn't switched on again before decommissioning the fan.
• Wait until the fan has cooled down sufficiently and the impeller is stationary before removing the weather protection hood or any other protection against accidental contact or touching the fan.
• Now dismantle the fan and dispose of the components as described in the following chapter.
