Transport, storage
DANGER The unit may fall when using unauthorised transport equipment or lifting gear.
- Bear in mind the weight (technical data, rating plate and centre of gravity (centre).
- Observe the maximum permitted loading capacity for lifting gear and transport equipment.
- Only attach the transport equipment to the 4 transport lugs (following figure) and secure sufficiently.
- Do not stand under a suspended load.
CAUTION Risk of cuts from metal housing parts with sharp edges.
- Wear personal protective equipment (cut-resistant gloves) for installation.
NOTICE Type and source of danger Damage to unit if the transport equipment is incorrectly attached.
- Do not put sensitive components under strain, such as the impeller.

- Use suitable ropes or chains for transport.
- To ensure even weight distribution, the transport equipment must be hooked into all 4 transport lugs (see arrows in figure).
- Lift the fan evenly and without jerky movements and set it down carefully at the installation site.
Storage
Only store the fan horizontally and in a dry place (at -10 °C to +60 °C). Avoid storage periods that are too long. Recommendation: store for a max. of 1 year. Before installing, check that the motor bearing is functioning properly.
Maico accepts no liability for corrosion damage caused by improper storage, e.g. storage in a damp room.
