Electrical connection
DANGER Danger to life from electric shock.
- Prior to accessing the connection terminals, switch off all supply circuits. Switch off mains fuse, secure against being accidentally switched back on and position a visible warning sign.
NOTICE Risk of damage to unit in the event of short circuits.
- Insulate any unnecessary cable cores.
- Connect the fan to a current-dependent protective device. This is to be provided by the customer. For related data Operating instructions of the protective device.
Procedure
- Switch off the mains fuse and secure it against being switched on again. Fit warning sign.
- Remove the terminal box cover [3].
NOTICE Danger of short-circuits and damage to the unit.Consequences: Water can enter the terminal box if the power cable is inserted incorrectly or if the sealing element (self-sealing grommet, cable grommet, cable screw connection, etc.) is not fitted correctly.
- Attach the sealing element so that it tightly seals the power cable.
- Attach a suitable sealing element (self-sealing grommet, cable grommet, cable screw connection, etc.).
- Guide the power cable into the terminal box such that the sealing element completely encloses the cable sheathing. Seal the sealing element on site if necessary.
- Wire the fan electrically at the terminal block in accordance with Circuit diagrams. Observe a tightening torque of 0.7 Nm for the screws.
NOTICE Damage to unit if external control device is not authorised.- Only connect control devices with a current-dependent protective device.
- Electrically wire the external control device to the terminal block in accordance with the Circuit diagrams. Observe a tightening torque of 0.7 Nm for the screws.
- Attach the on-off switch. This is to be provided by the customer.
- If necessary, install optional accessory components. For approved accessory components Catalogue, Internet.
NOTICE Damage to the unit, due to moisture, if the terminal box cover is not properly fitted [3].The seal of the terminal box cover [3] must be flush with the terminal box all the way around.
- Tighten the two screws with a tightening torque of 1.0 Nm.
- Fit the terminal box cover [3].
Always note the relevant specifications for electrical installations and when fitting equipment. In Germany, observe DIN VDE 0100 and the corresponding parts in particular.
