Electrical connection

Observe the applicable regulations for electrical installations, e.g., DIN EN 50110-1 and DIN EN 60204-1, in Germany in particular VDE 0100 with the corresponding parts → in case of non-observance, danger of electric shock, fire or short circuit.

  1. Before working on the electrical equipment, switch off the mains fuse and secure it against being switched on again. Observe safety instruction supplementary sheet.

ATTENTION: Ensure degree of protection IP X5, make the electrical connection as follows.

Short circuit and fire hazard if moisture penetrates. If the cables in the terminal compartment are too long, the electronics cover cannot be fitted flat and tight. Only lay single cable cores of the permitted length in the terminal compartment. Cut individual cable cores to exact lengths so that they can be easily inserted into the spring terminals. Strip cable cores to 9 to 10 mm.

  1. Connect the power cable to the spring terminal according to the circuit diagram → Circuit diagrams/circuit variants.

The ECA 150 ipro and ECA 150 ipro K variants can be operated in two levels using double switches. Without a double switch, either power level 1 or 2 can be selected.

  1. Check position of cable grommet. It must be well sealed.

ECA 150 ipro and ECA 150 ipro K variants with STX 1.5 speed controller, speed-controllable.

The technology used in the phase angle controller may cause humming noises.
