Freeze protection of the heat recovery unit with electric preheating register [PH] (optional)
→ ensures volumetric flow balance.
If an electric preheater PH is installed in the RLT unit, the heat recovery unit is protected against freezing. The output of the preheater is adjusted so that the temperature at the outlet of the heat recovery unit on the outgoing air side does not fall below a specified temperature.
The preheater is supplied ready for use from the factory.
The risk of the heat exchanger freezing is effectively prevented down to an outside temperature of approx. - 20°C (depending on the air volume), so that balanced operation is guaranteed.
Attention: If the electric heat register overheats (e.g. "heating function on" when the system is open and air is not flowing completely through the register), a safety temperature limiter (STL) is triggered directly at the heat register and switches it off. The register is reactivated by pressing the safety button on the STL until it engages.
It is essential to switch off the mains circuits at the main switch beforehand, as the heat registers are operated at 400 V!
