Connection advice
- Only make the electrical connection in accordance with the RV 2 connection and wiring diagrams in the appendix.
- Only use permitted connection cables.
- For the mains connection and the 230 V input: Type NYM-J 5G1, 5 mm².
- Recommended control cable from ventilation unit to star point/distributor (max. 25 m): Type LiYY 4x0.5 mm².
- Recommended control cable RLS 45 K to star point/distributor (max. 4 m): Type J-Y(ST)Y 2x2x0.8 mm².
- Install the RLS 45 K control unit in a deep flush-mounted box. Always use a deep or double flush-mounted box for wiring several accessory components.
- Strip the connection cables sufficiently.
- The ventilation units, controls and sensors are supplied with a connector plug. Wire this to the control line according to the plug sticker.
- If the maximum specified cable lengths are exceeded, imbalances may occur. Observe the installation specifications with regard to the cable lengths per cable run and cable types.
- The permissible cable lengths in the RS 485 bus can be extended with PP 45 LT power units and with RLS 45 K configured as a slave (signal amplification).
- Recommendation for PP 45 LT: If there are more than 2 ventilation units, install the PP 45 LT in an electronic switch box (simpler electrical connection).
- RV 2 ventilation units and RLS 45 K control units are not suitable for use in outdoor areas. Only use these outside protection zones 0, 1 and 2 and protect them from moisture and wetness.
- Time-limited functions (intensive ventilation, sleep function) can also be switched on from other rooms. The switches or buttons for this are connected to the 230 V input of the RLS 45 K and configured in the service menu or with the commissioning software.
- The LED brightness on the RLS 45 K can be adjusted using the commissioning software. The LEDs can also be switched off if they are disturbing (bedrooms).
