Plastering

ATTENTION: Transition between masonry/thermal insulation and the pre-installation unit must be made with reinforcement fabric, in order to avoid cracks due to the change in material to the neighbouring masonry. In addition to the reinforcement fabric, an adhesive plaster levelling coat must be applied. In principle, the execution and quality of the plastering work is the responsibility of the plastering contractor carrying out the work. This must correspond to the current state of the art and the recognised rules of technology.

• Generally, plaster the mounting sleeve with a bonding bridge and reinforcement fabric.
• Ensure sufficient plaster thickness according to the applicable rules of technology:
  outside min. 20 mm, inside min. 15 mm.
• The plaster frame must not protrude beyond the finished plastered wall
  (ideally flush with the wall).
• Leave the plaster protection in the plaster frame to avoid soiling the inside of the mounting sleeve.
• Set corner rails inside and outside. When setting the corner rails, always pay attention to the height of the plaster frames. The plaster frame and rail must be aligned.
• Make sure that the plaster does not break off when removing the plaster protection.
• Observe the dimensions of the internal and external covers. Close minor unevenness with acrylic.
• When plastering do not use adhesive tape between the plaster frame and the plaster, as this will cause the plaster to separate from the plaster frame. When removing the plaster protection, there is a risk of the plaster breaking off unintentionally.
