Preparation for installation
Risk of falling when working on scaffolding or ladders. Danger to life due to serious injuries in the event of a fall. Danger to persons below the scaffolding/ladder from falling objects.
Observe the accident prevention regulations for scaffolding erection and working on scaffolding. Ensure the stability of ladders and climbing aids. Ensure that you are standing securely and cannot lose your balance and that there is no one under the unit.
ATTENTION: Do not damage the pre-installation kit during installation or modify it in unauthorised places, e.g. by drilling or screwing. Damaged mounting sleeves / 90° deflection units can lead to incorrect air flow in the ventilation channel, malfunctions in the ventilation or water ingress into the unit or masonry.
- Only mount on walls with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
- Determine the mounting position on the exterior wall.
- Ensure mounting is on a level wall surface.
- Note dimensions.
- After plastering, the internal cover of the plaster frame must be flush with the interior wall/soffit on the inside of the window.
