Drilling through housing for connection and control cable

Danger to health in the event of mould formation due to building and moisture damage caused by incorrect drilling, e.g. due to leaks, build-up of condensation and water escaping into the masonry.

Contamination from incorrectly drilled or leaking mounting sleeves can damage the fans. Be sure to seal the mounting sleeve properly.

ATTENTION: If holes are drilled in an unauthorised location, the connection cable cannot be inserted correctly. Then, final installation of the slide-in module is not possible.

The following figure shows an unshortened mounting sleeve with 4 predetermined breaking points for the cable feed. If possible, do not use the large predetermined breaking point on the left (difficult cable feed through 90° elbow). Use one of the 3 predetermined breaking points on the right for the cable feed.

Observe symbols/pictograms on the mounting sleeve.

ATTENTION when using the front predetermined breaking point "X". If the hole is too deep, this causes damage to the condensate drain. Drill this to a maximum depth of 25 to 30 mm.

  1. Drill through the desired predetermined breaking point (see arrows) in the mounting sleeve (Ø 20 mm).
