Installation instructions
DANGER due to electric shock
Observe the safety rules of electrical engineering. Before taking off covers and before installing the electrics, shut down all supply circuits, switch off mains fuse, check that no voltage is present, secure against being accidentally switched back on and position a visible warning sign.
Observe the applicable regulations for electrical installations, e.g., DIN EN 50110-1 and DIN EN 60204-1, in Germany in particular VDE 0100 with the corresponding parts → in case of non-observance danger due to electric shock, fire or short circuit.
Danger of falling when working at heights. Serious injuries in the event of a fall. Danger to persons below the ladder from falling objects.
When working at heights, use suitable ladders/climbing aids and ensure that they are stable. Work in pairs and ensure that you are standing securely and cannot lose your balance and that there is no one under the work area. Protect yourself against falling. Protect the ladder against bumping, knocking over and tipping.
ATTENTION: Before inserting the slide-in module, check that the mounting sleeve is installed correctly (instructions pre-installation kit). If this is deformed/incorrectly installed, the slide-in module cannot be inserted. Only insert the slide-in module into a correctly installed mounting sleeve. This already has a suitable slope for the condensate drain to the external cover.
- The cover frame is aligned on the internal plaster frame and screwed in place with the enclosed screws (8x). Slightly different plaster thicknesses can be levelled out with the cover frame and the position of the internal cover can be slightly corrected.
- For electrical connection → Connection and wiring diagrams.
- For permissible voltage and frequency of the components → rating plate: ventilation units 12 VDC, control 230 VAC.
- Permitted connection cable Mains connection and 230 V input: Type NYM-J 5G1, 5 mm².
- Recommended control cable from ventilation unit to star point/distributor (max. 25 m): Type LiYY 4x0.5 mm².
- Recommended control cable from to star point/distributor (max. 4 m): Type J-Y(ST)Y 2x2x0.8 mm².
- To connect to the ventilation unit, wire the enclosed 4-pin connector plug to the control cable (→ plug sticker and wiring diagram).
- Imbalance may arise if the maximum stated cable lengths are exceeded. Observe installation requirements relating to cable lengths and types. The maximum permissible cable length can be increased with slaves or .
- ventilation units and controls are not suitable for outdoor use. Only use these outside protection zones 0, 1 and 2 and protect them from moisture and wetness.
- For unit address, see the sticker on the terminal box cover of the slide-in module (next to the rating plate).
- Automatic search (Plug & Play): If you have an even number of units, you can use the Automatic search (Plug & Play) service parameter. In the automatic search, the factory-set unit addresses of the individual ventilation units are read out. The supply air and exhaust air units are then automatically paired → chapter Commissioning, Automatic search (Plug & Play). Alternatively, addressing and assignment is also possible with the commissioning software.
- You can also switch on the intensive ventilation or sleep function manually using additional switches/buttons. If a switch is installed, the start delay can be used (time intervals can be parameterised with CDW commissioning software).
- The LED brightness on the can be set using the commissioning software. The LEDs can also be switched off if they are disturbing (bedrooms).
