Changing air filters
ATTENTION
- Change the air filters of the ventilation unit when the filter change indicator appears on the room air control (rapidly flashing LEDs).
- Never operate the ventilation unit without an air filter. The ventilation unit becomes dirty and unfiltered substances can enter the rooms.
- Generally, change the internal and external filters together.
- Only use original air filters with the prescribed filter class. Otherwise there is a danger to health from harmful substances that can accumulate in the air filter.
- Change the air filters regularly, after 6 months at the latest.
- Replace the air filters even after the ventilation unit has not been used for a longer period of time.
Change the air filters as described in the following chapters.
Confirm the successful filter change.

| RLS 45 O: Current LED flashes. Performing and acknowledging filter change: Press and hold the button for 5 seconds. |
| PP 45 RC / PPB 30 RC: At the bottom of the RC unit, an LED (orange or blue) flashes. Remove the housing cover, perform and acknowledge filter change: Press SET button for 5 seconds. Attach housing cover. |
Safety
CAUTION Air filter: Using the unit in areas without appropriate air filters can cause serious damage to health. Breathing difficulties, infections, risk of suffocation, eye injuries due to smoke, vapours, fibres, construction foam, mould, particles from outside.
• Operation of the ventilation unit in areas with the aforementioned substances is not permitted.
• Switch off the ventilation unit, especially in dangerous situations (fire).
• Never block the air supply.
• The air filters are housed in the slide-in module. Only use authorised original air filters.
• Dispose of the filters properly as they may contain harmful substances and allergens. Wear personal protective equipment (mask).
DANGER due to electric shock
Observe the safety rules of electrical engineering. Before removing covers and installing the electrics, switch off all supply circuits and secure them against being accidentally switched back on again.
CAUTION Cuts due to sharp edges on sheet metal or housing cut-outs or on the slide-in module.
Wear protective gloves. Do not damage connection cables.
