Electrical connection
Danger of electric shock
- Observe the safety rules of electrical engineering. Before removing covers and before electrical installations, disconnect the fan at all poles from the power supply, switch off the mains fuse, ensure that no voltage is present, secure against being accidentally switched back on and affix a visible warning sign. In case of non-compliance, risk of electric shock, fire or short circuit.
- Only connect the fan according to the circuit diagram/wiring plan. A fixed electrical installation is mandatory. Note the voltage and frequency stated on the rating plate. Use a mains isolation device with contact openings of at least 3 mm at each pole. Avoid contact with components (damage due to static charge).
- Use cables of type NYM-O or NYM-J, with 3 x 1.5 mm² or 5 x 1.5 mm², suitable for the unit type. For permissible cable types, see chapter Technical data in the installation and operating instructions.
- The degree of protection stated on the rating plate is only guaranteed if the unit is installed as intended and the connection cable is correctly guided through the cable grommet. Seal the grommet and cable additionally if necessary.
- With protection class I, connect the PE conductor and check the connection.
DANGER due to short circuit/fire
- Narrow terminal compartment! Guide the cable sheathing into the terminal compartment as little as possible so that it is sealed by the grommet. Only use single cable cores of the permitted length in the terminal compartment. The grommet must be fitted firmly and tightly in the housing. If necessary, additionally seal the grommet.
A flat installation position is required for the electronics cover, not curved! The surrounding seal of the electronics cover must fit tightly against the housing all round.
For duct fans with cap/O-ring, ensure the same tightness.
