Troubleshooting, action to take in the event of a fault

The motor may still be very hot after the overload protection has been triggered or the fan has been switched off → Risk of burning due to hot motor. Note the cooling time. This can be up to 15 minutes, depending on the fan type. Usually, the fan switches back on automatically after cooling down. For various unit variants, start the fan with the On switch.

Proceed with caution in the event of a malfunction. The fan may also be energized when at a standstill and may be switched on automatically by sensors (time delay, humidity etc.) or by the thermal switch in the motor winding. Maintenance and fault finding only permissible when carried out by qualified electricians.
