Replacing bypass shutter

To replace the bypass shutter, proceed as follows:
If the motor is defective, proceed as described in Retrofitting bypass shutter.

  1. Switch the mains fuse off.
  2. Tilt front panel forwards at the two top corners (detach from the magnets) and remove upwards.
  3. Loosen the 4 screws of the inner cover (bayonet lock) and remove it. Note information on sticker.

Please note the position of the bypass shutter. The new bypass shutter must be placed in the same position during installation.

  1. Remove bypass motor. To do this, loosen the 2 nuts and pull the motor forward off the shutter shaft.
  2. Set the bypass shutter to the horizontal position by hand (the bypass is open).
  3. Remove the bypass shutter from the EPP housing.
  4. Place the new bypass shutter in the horizontal position (bypass open) and push it into the bypass shaft as far as it will go.
  5. Set the bypass shutter to the position before removal.
  6. Fit the bypass motor onto the shutter shaft and screw it on with 2 nuts.
  7. Insert the connection cable into the groove position II and III, so that it is firmly seated.
  8. Insert the electronics slide-in module into the electronics compartment.
  9. Insert inner cover into the bottom housing rail, close it and secure it with 4 screws (bayonet lock).
  10. Fit front panel in the two lugs and close (2 magnets).
  11. Switch the mains fuse on. Set the main switch to position I/On. The LEDs on the RLS 1 WR switch on.

The ventilation unit now performs a reference run and closes the bypass shutter (vertical position).
