Unit connection (USB), commissioning process

Important information on the MAICO@HOME APP

Before downloading the MAICO@HOME APP on your mobile device, you must first install the commissioning software and firmware on your PC and create a MAICO account. You will need a Windows PC, a standard USB-A/B cable and an active Internet connection. Update the software on your PC. Only then install the MAICO@HOME APP on the smartphone.

USB connection, downloads, registration

  1. Switch off the ventilation unit with the main switch.
  2. Tilt front panel forward at the two top corners (magnets) and remove it upwards.
  3. Remove the protective USB cap and connect the PC/notebook to the ventilation unit at the USB interface.
  4. Switch on the ventilation unit with the main switch.
  5. Start the commissioning process:
    This process is shown in detail in the video clip and the step-by-step description. Start the video at     MAICO@HOME.
    • Install CDV commissioning software on the PC
    • Create an account in the Maico CLOUD
    • Register and confirm with link
    • Carry out a firmware update for your ventilation unit in the Planair software activated during the installation process (the update is mandatory)
    • Call up the CDV commissioning software (exe file).
  6. Select USB connection. The start screen appears.
  7. Set ventilation unit in accordance with planning office’s setting specifications. To access the installer level, enter the password you have been provided with under Settings, Installer → Installer.
  8. After the first commissioning, be sure to save a commissioning log.
  9. Remove the USB cable.
  10. Attach the front panel.
