Installation

DANGER Danger due to incorrect installation location or incorrect fastening.

  1. Only mount the unit in locations with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
  2. Sufficiently dimensioned mounting material is to be provided by the customer.
  1. Make the wall breakthrough at the installation site.

Design customised mounting systems according to the fan dimensions. Determine the diameter so that the steel wall ring can be inserted without distortion and no leaks occur on the outer diameter of the steel wall ring. In the case of masonry, plaster the opening. Take the curvature of the steel wall ring into account. Ensure that the load-bearing capacity of walls or mounting systems is designed to support the weight of the fan.

  1. Mark the fixing holes, drill them and fit the wall anchors. Use suitable heavy-duty anchors for installation.

Select the anchor diameter according to the diameter of the fixing holes in the steel wall ring. Have additional mounting material on hand, e.g. washers and nuts. Mounting material is to be provided by the customer.

  1. Transport the unit to the installation site using suitable transport equipment or lifting gear in accordance with Transport, storage and place it in the wall breakthrough.
  2. Attach the fan securely at the installation site using mounting material approved for the load.

Use tension disks or clamping nuts to ensure permanent fastening. Observe the tightening torques specified by the wall anchor manufacturer. Do not fit the steel wall ring either twisted or crushed. The impeller must not rub.

  1. Check that the free movement of the impeller and that there is an air gap between the impeller and the steel wall ring (turn the impeller by hand).

The impeller must not rub, the air gap must be approximately the same at all points on the circumference.

  1. Fit an external shutter or protective grille on the outside to prevent foreign objects from falling into the air duct. Ensure protection against accidental contact in accordance with EN ISO 13857.

Always use new lock nuts in accordance with EN ISO 7042 for assembly and disassembly.
