The Maico AKE 100/1 and AKE 150/1 ventilation systems keep rooms such as cellars, garages, warehouses or laundry rooms of up to 70 m² pleasantly dry. And they do this fully automatically and as required: the room humidity is constantly balanced with the humidity outside. Humid air is only automatically extracted when the incoming outside air is drier. This prevents the formation of condensation and thus potential mold growth on the cold cellar walls, even when the humidity outside is high.
How intelligent building technology works with AKE
An external sensor in the shutter flap identifies the humidity outside and transmits the information to the powerful extract air fan, which, thanks to modern and high-quality control electronics, only starts operating as required when the absolute humidity in the cellar room is higher than outside. Basement rooms remain dry with the AKE, even with high humidity in summer, as no condensation settles on cold basement walls and penetrates the masonry. At temperatures below 5°C, the system switches off automatically, preventing the cellar from cooling down too much. The automatic ventilation only runs if the outside air can also be used for drying.
