Ventilation solutions for protecting against the risk of explosion
In many industries and applications, combustible gases, vapours, mist or dusts may occur during manufacturing and processing, transport and storage. When these combine with the oxygen in the air, potentially explosive mixtures may form. Should these ignite, explosions will occur, which may result in serious injuries and damage to property. Technical measures can be taken to prevent or at least reduce the risk of an explosion. One element of this primary explosion protection is technical ventilation of the potentially explosive atmospheres. This reduces the concentration of the hazardous substance in the mixture and thereby lowers it to a safe level.
