  • Ready to connect with integrated controller and automatic bypass.
  • Horizontal design (H): optionally for indoor installation or ceiling mounting, with rain cover and external hood also suitable as a flat unit for outdoor installation.
  • Vertical design (V): optionally for indoor or outdoor installation.
  • Easy to access for maintenance thanks to inspection doors that can be opened at side and removed.
  • Device classification A1 according to DIN 4102 (non-combustible).

Application field

  • Highly efficient compact air handling units with heat recovery for commercial, industrial, office and residential buildings.

Housing

  • Monoblock housing in self-supporting frame construction.
  • The housing structure consists of aluminium profiles with thermal separators with polyamide spacers built into the profile (class TB2 in accordance with EN 1886).
  • The corners are made of glass fibre reinforced polyamide.
  • The insulation between the double-walled panels consists of 45 mm (70 kg/m³) rock wool, which results in thermal transmittance class T2.
  • Device classification A1 according to DIN 4102 (non-combustible).
  • Enclosure classification according to DIN EN 1886:
    • Heat transfer coefficient: T2
    • Thermal bridge factor: TB2
    • Housing leakage class: L2
    • Mechanical stability: D1
    • Filter bypass leakage: F9 (=<2%)
  • The exterior panels are powder coated in grey, similar to RAL 7047.
  • The interior is made of galvanised sheet steel with smooth inner surfaces.
  • Electrical cables are laid in the cable protection ducts on spacers.
  • Condensate tray made of stainless steel, all other components are made of galvanised steel, aluminium or stainless steel and comply with VDI 6022 hygiene standards.
  • Generously sized inspection openings allow single access to all internal components at maintenance work.

Panels and inspection doors

  • Thermal bridge optimised panels and inspection doors made of galvanised sheet steel, thermally decoupled, powder coated for special protection against corrosion.
  • Double-walled sandwich construction of the panels with interior, non-combustible rock wool (thickness: 45 mm, density 70 kg/m³, building material class A1 according to DIN 4102 (non-combustible)) for optimum sound and thermal insulation.
  • The inspection doors are equipped with pressure-adaptive sealing to adjust to the pressure conditions inside the unit.

Coating

  • The exterior panels are UV-resistant and powder coated in grey, similar to RAL 7047. The coating offers special protection against corrosion.

Mounting

  • The device is equipped with 180 mm high profile feet for standing floor mounting.
  • The profile feet can be removed at need.
  • For suspended ceiling mounting, the horizontal unit (H) can be equipped with optional ceiling installation brackets for M12 threaded rods.
  • The following are optionally available for outdoor installation:
    • Outside air and outgoing air shutters with shutter actuator
    • Rain protection for shutter actuator
    • Outside and exhaust air hoods
    • Rain cover
    • Vacuum siphon
    • Siphon trace heating

Fans

  • Direct-drive, single-suction EC centrifugal fans with backward curved impeller blades made of composite material for optimised efficiency and minimised noise level.
  • Maintenance-free, sealed ball bearings with long-term lubrication.
  • Mounting directly in the front chamber without additional mounting rails for complete cleanability in accordance with VDI 6022.
  • Impeller made of high-strength composite materials with flow-optimised inlet nozzle made of galvanised sheet steel with pressure measuring connection.
  • Statically and dynamically balanced impeller in accordance with DIN ISO 21940-11.
  • Vibration tested in accordance with ISO 14694, maximum vibration intensity is 3.5 mm/s.
  • EC external rotor motor with integrated control electronics without rare earth magnets, featuring highly efficient electronic commutation (EC), integrated thermal switch-off and speed control.
  • EC technology is an environmentally friendly solution that guarantees low energy consumption for control and regulation of the operating point at volume flows of 10 to 100%.
  • This promotes a low noise level for improved acoustic comfort.
  • Integrated blockage protection, phase failure detection, soft start, over-temperature protection electronics, motor undervoltage failure detection, power limitation, motor current limitation.
  • The fans comply with current EMC directives and requirements regarding mains interference and EMC interference immunity.
  • Fan protection class: IP 55, insulation class "F", humidity (F) / environmental protection class (H) H1.
  • The efficiency class of the motor exceeds class IE4.

Heat recovery

  • Highly efficient hexagonal counter current plate heat exchanger made of seawater-resistant aluminium.
  • Efficiency > 90% according to DIN EN 13141-7; greater than 87% according to ErP Ecodesign Directive 1253/2014.
  • Eurovent certified.
  • For utilising the sensible and latent heat energy contained in air flows.
  • The outside air and exhaust air flows are guided past each other separately via parallel thin aluminium plates using the counterflow principle.

Condensate tray

  • Hygienically perfect condensate drain thanks to stainless steel condensate tray in unit. Connection diameter ½".
  • Placed completely under the heat exchanger.

Bypass shutter

  • Modulating through continuously regulating bypass drive.
  • Manual adjustment possible with push button.
  • The drive is overload-proof and maintenance-free.
  • Power consumption during operation: 1.5 W; power consumption in idle mode: 0.4 W.
  • Bypass shutters in aluminium casing with gear drive and counter-rotating, plastic-mounted aluminium profile blades with sealing lip, tightness class 2 in accordance with DIN EN 1751.
  • Shutter drive and gears located outside the air flow, making it suitable for increased hygiene requirements in accordance with VDI 6022.
  • Energy-saving, pre-wired shutter drive as a continuously regulating servomotor for modulation from 0 to 100%.
  • The integrated bypass in the outside air/supply air flow ensures frost protection in the event of freezing and provides free cooling in summer.
  • If the unit is equipped with an electrical pre-heater, the control system automatically selects the optimum solution.
  • In summer, the bypass regulates the set supply air temperature by means of modulation.

Filter:

  • ISO ePM1 50 % (F7) filter at the outside air inlet and ISO ePM10 50 % (M5) panel filter at the exhaust air inlet. Filters are mounted on rails with lip seals to guarantee effective air sealing.
  • The filters are always installed in front of the respective components to guarantee their protection.
  • Filter signalling via pressure difference measurement on the outside air filter and exhaust air filter, adjustable from 50 up to 500 pascals, preset to 150 pascals.

Rectangular duct connection

  • The devices have rectangular duct connections and are designed for connection to rectangular ducts with a 20 mm profile.
  • The profile must be supplemented with a sealing strip.
  • Transition adapters are available as an option for connection to round ducts.

Shut-off dampers for outside air and outgoing air

  • Outside air and outgoing air shutters in aluminium housing with gear drive and counter-rotating, plastic-mounted aluminium profile blades with sealing lip, tightness class 2 in accordance with DIN EN 1751.
  • The shutter drive and gears are located outside the air flow, making them suitable for increased hygiene requirements in accordance with VDI 6022.
  • Outside air and outgoing air shutters can be ordered optionally.
  • When ordered, the shutters are factory-mounted outside of the device frame and the servomotor is electrically connected.

Technical compartment

  • Separate, lockable technical compartment with protection class IP 65, in which the electrical components and the control system are housed.
  • Separate compartment within the technical compartment for the enclosed circuit diagram booklet.
  • Cable ends within the technical compartment are clearly numbered using cable identification at each connection point and in the enclosed connection diagram to prevent confusion.

Cable connection

  • Plug & play connection: 5-pin connector on terminal block X1 inside the separate, lockable technical compartment.
  • Recommended residual current circuit breaker: Class B or B+, tripping residual current see technical data.
  • Recommended fuses for mains connection: D-Type "slow-blow"; D-10,000 A – AC3

Electrical wiring

  • Industrially manufactured cable harness, clear cable routing and unobstructed access to components at maintenance, as well as optimum cleaning options for surfaces.
  • Neat cable routing with individual cable protection sleeves and spacers to the components inside the unit.
  • Cable protection sleeves inserted into cable screw connection, no open cables visible.

Control

  • Fully integrated, completely wired control unit including main switch with all-pole isolation.
  • Control unit fully integrated in technical compartment with IP 65 degree of protection to protect against environmental influences.
  • Integrated web browser.
  • Integrated safety elements for all control and regulation functions tailored to the ventilation unit:
  • Motor protection switch with phase failure detection, short-circuit protection with magnetic short-circuit release.
  • Circuit breaker 230 V, tripping characteristic class C.
  • IG service switch, 4-phase, IP 54, CE compliant.
  • Guaranteeing electrical safety in accordance with the following directives: Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (including Low Voltage Directive), EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, and complete functional testing at factory.
